Fay met with pioneers of Qigong in the US whose practice, teaching, scholarship and advocacy work inspire her own.

Roger Jahnke, OMD , author The Healing Promise of Qi and national advocate for Qigong in integrative medicine, met with Fay to explore ways to promote Qigong research in San Diego.
  Dr. Jahnke, author of Healing Promise of Qi just published a definitive paper of western research on Qigong with Dr. L. Larkey  "A Comprehensive Review of Health Benefits of Qigong and Tai Chi "  in The American Journal of Health Promotion Summer 2010.

Other Qigong heroes at this conference, Michael Winn, co-author of 6 books with Qigong grandmaster, Mantak Chia and director of Healing Tao in Asheville, NC. Michael taught Fay "Scholars Qigong"  which she will begin teaching at UCSD in the Fall semester.
 Althea Northridge-Orr, L.Ac also pictured is Fay's colleague, fellow White Tigress, and teacher of women's Qigong, who founded the Chicago Center for Psychophysical Healing.

Wang Lang, Lu Xichen,(center) Professor of Philosophy, Zhongnan University was Fay's roomate at the conference. Dr. Lu teaches Ethics and Qigong to Daoist nuns at the Kundao (female self-cultivators) Academy in China.
